Chapter 8: If you were in Cole's place during this chapter, what would you have done the same or differently? Explain why.

If I were in Cole's place, I think I would have tried to stay with my friends and not rush ahead by myself. Cole is brave, but sometimes being brave can also mean asking for help. I would want to make a careful plan because the Outskirts are dangerous and surprising. Still, I understand why Cole feels like he has to act quickly.

Chapter 18: What does this chapter teach about friendship or loyalty? Support your answer with one detail.

This chapter shows that friendship means standing by people even when things are scary. I noticed that the characters do not give up on each other when the situation becomes difficult. That makes their friendship feel strong and real. It also shows that loyalty is not just something you say, but something you prove with your actions.

Chapter 35: What does this chapter show about power and responsibility?

This chapter shows that power can help people, but it can also cause problems if it is used selfishly. I think the characters have to think carefully before using special abilities or making big decisions. Having power does not mean a person should do anything they want. It means they should protect others and be ready for the consequences.
