Example answers

Printed at the front of the booklet, so your reader can see what a strong answer looks like.

Chapter 2: What do you learn about Drake’s personality in this chapter? Describe one choice he makes and what it shows about him.
I learn that Drake is curious and brave, even when he is not completely sure what will happen. He pays attention to what is going on around him and wants to be part of the action. His choice shows that he likes adventure, but he also has to think carefully before jumping into something new.
Chapter 5: What do you predict will happen next after the events of this chapter? Explain what clues in the story helped you make your prediction.
I predict that Drake will try to fix the problem instead of waiting for someone else to do it. The clues are that he has already been asking questions and noticing details that other people might miss. I think he will use what he has learned to help his friends, even if the plan is not perfect at first.
Chapter 9: How is the main problem solved by the end of the book, and what do you think is the most important message of the story?
By the end of the book, the main problem is solved because Drake and the other characters work together and do not give up. They use courage, thinking, and teamwork to handle the challenge. I think the most important message is that it is okay to feel nervous about something new, but you can still be brave and helpful.
